Training Videos: School Support to Prevent NEET Outcomes
Co-developed with Somerset Council, these videos show how a holistic view of risks and our Pathway to Change can support schools in preventing NEET outcomes for their students.
Case Study 1: Jaz
This 4-minute case study focuses on an ‘invisible learner.’ Jaz’s story highlights how interlinked risks result in a failed onward transition at Post-16, and how school support can better safeguard against this.
School Training Video 1
This session introduces the research and practitioner resources, with activities to help you apply this to a case study young person: Jaz. Case Study 2: Dan & Charlie
This 4-minute case study focuses on ‘corridor surfers.’ While Dan and Charlie both truant internally, their stories highlight the differing issues that underpin this and how school support can reflect this.

This follow-on training, builds on the first session. After considering young people’s and educators’ views on the factors impacting disengagement, activities help you apply learning through the case studies of two young people: Dan and Charlie. Video length 12 minutes. Activity time 10 minutes.
